Small spot light on the front of the boat

Saw these at HF and was wondering if they would hold up well on the bow of a boat: https://www.harborfreight.com/automotive-motorcycle/accessory-lights/clear-lens-halogen-lights-37349.html Thoughts?

bow mount or transom mount trolling motor?

Good deal. Thanks y'all! I also noticed that I can get a Transom Mount TM for a good bit less than a bow mount. Do y'all think that the Minn-Kota Endura 30 (found locally for ~$100) is a good choice for a MonArk 1442? I'm toting a 25 MSH Yammy, 6 gal tank, single battery, some fishing gear...

bow mount or transom mount trolling motor?

Sorry, I'm not following. :? Are you saying that I could buy a transom mount TM and put it on the bow? Would that require flipping the head around or some other modification? Thanks, yak_n_fish

bow mount or transom mount trolling motor?

Good stuff. Thanks for the replies and input, y'all. I think y'all have convinced me to keep the TM up at the bow and build a better mount. Cheers, yak_n_fish

bow mount or transom mount trolling motor?

Good insight. Thanks! I should mention that the front deck is not setup for a foot pedal or a TM bracket. My current setup is a TM with screw down clamps hooked to a jon boat trolling motor bracket that I got from Cabela's, on the bow: I was thinking that it might be easier or more...

bow mount or transom mount trolling motor?

I have a MonArk 1442 and it's time to replace the trolling motor. I am curious to hear the pro's and con's of both the bow mount and transom mount trolling motors. This will primarily be used in brackish water. Thanks, yak_n_fish

    Parker Duck boat, first application.

'Zactly. That is what I told myself at the Home Depot when I was holding the Wagner and debating on whether to spend the $$. MUCH MUCH better than the previous iteration of Wagner that I had.

    Parker Duck boat, first application.

Guys Just wanted to say Thank You for telling me about the Wagner Control HVLP gun. I took your recommendations and picked one up over the weekend. I applied a second coat of Parker's over my very poorly done first coat on the interior and it looks awesome. It covered a lot of the...

    Parker Duck boat, first application.

Froggy - your boat looks great. I'm glad you had better luck with the Wagner than I did. We are using the same materials (self-etching primer and parker's duck boat paint) but I think you have a different model Wagner than I did. Mine did not have the cup with the hole as you described. I...

Help!! I crossed back over to the other side again!!!

Sweet sled, Specknreds! Have fun on the Jordan ( I know the sandbar of which you speak!) and look forward to your fishing reports from the islands. I was trying to talk my lil bro into taking his Grady out there to Cat Island sometime soon for the fishing. Love that place. Cheers, yak_n_fish

New guy with an old MonArk 1442

Welll...Yesterday morning was a beautiful day down here on the Gulf Coast (finally). I got all setup, started spraying with the Wagner P.O.S....er...Power Pro and after about 30 seconds it was looking real nice and I thought to myself "Man, I'll be done in 10 minutes!". [-X About that time the...

New guy with an old MonArk 1442

Well, on Saturday I drug out the hose and put in the plug. No Leaks! Then went to my buddy's shop, put in the new fuel line, rebuilt the carb and did the final assembly....My Johnson Runs Again! My buddy admitted that he had already written this thing off as a lost cause and he was just...

Got the transom in and used some 5200 on the bolts that hold the angle support to the bottom and the transom. I'm hoping it doesn't leak [-o< Also got the engine mostly put back together and after a bunch of pullin' and a trip to the gas station for new gas....she fired up and ran like a...

New guy with an old MonArk 1442

So we had some rain overnight last night and I did not have the boat covered  There was some water in the boat this morning and I noticed a spot where the primer had peeled up in the chine. I will have to touch that up. I also noticed that there is some black looking dust that wipes...

Finally got some work done! :D I sanded and put 2 coats of primer on the hull and topside. It took about 11 cans of the Rustoleom Self-Etching Primer. I appreciate the tip on using the spray handle and thanks to whoever mentioned that in another thread. Next up is putting the transom...

Got the paint from Cabelas! =D> Now, I just need the time and the right weather to finish sanding, priming and start painting. Oh...and it's the holidays....and still haven't seen a shooter buck. So glad we get a long deer season here in AL. This project may get delayed a bit.
