    Sunday Suppa

    I grilled some steaks for us Sunday. I used my usual Montreal Seasoning/Espresso concoction to marinate them for 3 hours.

    We have Dinner on the Grounds at my Church tomorrow and I did a smoked meatloaf on the Akorn as my contribution. 2.5 pounds cooked at 250*.

    Tossed a rack of St Louis Style Spares and a rack of Baby Backs on the Ole Akorn today.

    Akorn Jr cook today

    I did a small cook on the Akorn Jr today.Smoked a butt, a fattie and a meatloaf done fattie style. Here are some pics including some of the construction of the fattie.

    Steaks from the Akorn

    I grilled steaks on my Akorn tonite. One fillet for my wife and a T-Bone for me. 600* to rare for me,med-rare for my wife. I marinated them in my Montreal Seasoning/Espresso concoction. My plate has sauteed mushrooms and onion and baked potato.

    Besides cooking outdoors, I have a love of fly tying and art. I have figured out a way to combine the two. I decorate fly boxes then fill them with flies. Thanks for lookin.

    I love cooking outdoors and usually cook on my smokers/grills at least once a week. I do everything from brisket to squash, pizza to frog legs,snack food to whole turkeys. Here are a few pics.

    Hey everyone! I am new here and just wanted to jump in and post. Here are some of my cookers. I have An Akorn and an Akorn Jr, and one large offset smoker and one small offset smoker. Been cooking outdoors most of my adult life and running smokers for about 25 years. Here are some pics.

    Howdy

    Thanks for allowing me in. Just bought a used 14'2" semi-V aluminum boat. It is an older model and has an old 10hp Johnson motor. I hope to be a welcome contributor. Some here may know me as I am on a lot of outdoor and cooking related message boards. Again, Thanks!
