    thats good advice! also yeah the pvc pipe in the boat / the boat stands that go in the boat to keep the cover slightly elevated and angled so water runs off will work. i had to ghetto rig some stands inside my boat when it was otside and it kept the water out. but everything else i tried...

    thanks! im so excited! lol i just took it out on the withlacoochee river today with my mom and dad.. first time ever launching a boat / using tiller outboard and man was it awesome... i took my time, launched it everything went perfect. i got a 55 pound thrust newport vessels trolling motor...

    Its pretty much finished. Ima mount the outboard tomorrow. I uave the old 1978 omc metal gas tank i need to figure out a way to pit it in the boat with out it scratching.

    its an old cheif canoe anyone know what kind of paint it has? is it poly or gel coat.. im ignorant to this.. i want to fix the missing spots where fiber glass is exposed looks like someone used some putty previously

    looks very amazing! love the transom.. the patina looks good too.. overall very aesthetically pleasing boat. it looks like its solid, well built.. back then things where built to last forever..
