put a limit switch on to control the tile. When I get to an extreme left on the motor it tilts up out of the water. Would like to get a little more, but was having a clearance problem so might have to relocate a longer actuator. I think I'm out of the water when tilted, but cant water test...

finally got around to finishing my front mount trolling motor steering project. I had previously mounted it all to a 2x8, but it was uglier then homemade soap and lacked a tilt function. The speed of the trolling motor is controlled by a pot and a PWM, so i have unlimited speed control...

That's the only hang up I have with them, but the trade off is so much better in my opinion. I really like then as we fish alot for Kokannee and smaller fish. So nice not to drag around a fish all day.

So my first attempt to deal with this is going be that gutter foam filter stuff. It would squish between the pod and boat when the gap closes. I reckon it will arrest the splash, but I wonder, will it have any affect on the drag? Its porosity would allow it to catch water I guess, but enough...

I cant see a need to drop em like that, other then to drain em. Might be nice when I'm trolling alone, definitely keep my trolling motors prop in the water.

Got the hinges and actuators all mounted up. Here's more pictures showing the positions at each end. Need to get them wired into their switches yet and seal up the access covers. Takes about 10 seconds to adjust from one extreme to the other.

Hinges are on the bottom of the pods, mounting to the angle in the picks, which is near flush to the hull. Or will be when they get here...... it's the gap on the side of the pod that I was initially concerned about. The bottom will be relatively smooth in the waterline. Once I get the hinges...
