I was wondering if there was a way to widen the gunnels on a 14ft 1988 StarCraft. Being there are just over 2 inches wide now I would like to make the atleast 4inches .

I have a sf 14 would like a live well but don't want to remove the middle seat to put one in. My question is there a way to cut the middle seat to install a live well but still have the use of the middle seat? I have a cooler I use now but it always in the way when getting in or out of the boat .

I have a 1988 sf 14, I leave mine down being the trailer .The only time I tilt it up is when I am launching it in shallow water .hope this helps

If you remove the middle how are you going to support the sides of the boat there? the seats have foam in them for floatation .Are you going to put foam under the floor to replace when removing the seat.

I want to build seat bases out of aluminum angle that is 2x2x1/8? And skin the frames with thin plywood for the carpet .The top I would use 1/2 plwood to mount the seats seeing they have holes for mounting in them .What do you think?or should I just build the bases out of plywood thanks...
