Project "Livin Large" (update July 19 - rocket launchers!)

Hi All, It's been quite some time since posting on this forum. I hope everyone is doing well and catching lots of fish! Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know that Livin' Large has been sold. Sigh. She was a great boat and served me well for about 3 years. But as my kids got older my...

    Introducing Livin' Large II

Dang auto correct! I wasn't calling you an "infant" Fender! That should have been "in fact"!!!

    Introducing Livin' Large II

Thanks fellas. Yep, I know how to sail. Learned when I was a kid. I know about the renaming jinx, but current name just won't do. It's named after a horse the previous owner owned. I love "Blow Me", but I have small kids...... And a wife! She will technically sleep 5 but I wouldn't try it...

    Introducing Livin' Large II

P.S. - actually we'll not be naming her "Livin' Large II". Any naming suggestions?

    POLL new baitcaster

I've said it before and I'll say it again - Bass Pro Shops Johnny Morris signature reels are the best value on the market.

    Introducing Livin' Large II

She's a 27 foot racer/cruiser. Not tin, but she'll do! I am keeping the Tracker, as 6 foot keels aren't very good for bass fishing! However, the sailboat is equipped for salmon trolling in the deep water!

    Dave Matthews Band

Caught them last weekend at the Molson Amphitheatre. Great show. The band is so tight live.

    Old man and the sea

The boat isn't tin, but the spirit is the same.

    Topper 1436 vs 1542

I've never been in a 1436 but my 1542 is super stable. I am 6' 2", 250 lbs and I can stand anywhere in the boat (including up on the seats) comfortably and securely. 2 guys my size can also comfortably stand and fish in the 1542.

    Anyone know about older Evinrude's?

I have a 1958 Fastwin. I had to invest some money in it, but the thing is bomb proof and runs like new. My mechanic says it should last another 50 years!

    New personal best smallie

Sweet! Nothing beats a big bronzeback pulling drag and doing aerial acrobatics! My favourite fish to catch, by far.

    The ole spincast

I used to have a Zebco Omega. That was a great reel. Gave it to my sister and it is her main fishing rig.

Project "Livin Large" (update July 19 - rocket launchers!)

Hey Gators, You gotta come to Canada to get water that clear! That is Birch Lake in South-Eastern Ontario in Frontenac Provincial Park. if you ever get a chance to go there I highly recommend it. The fishing is some of the best I have ever seen, from Bass to Lake Trout. Cheers, BC

Oil dripping out of lower unit

I have a 1958 18hp Evinrude Fastwin, in good condition. Shortly after moving the boat out of the garage this spring I noticed a small amount of oil dripping out of the lower unit onto my driveway. Everything else looks fine and there were no drops on the garage floor over the winter. Is this...

    Tracker Boat......Never Again!

When I got my Tracker 1542 it had a few scratches on it. I complained and they gave me a $100 gift card for BassPro. There are a lot more scrathes on the boat now, but the fish don't seem to mind!

    Tracker Boat......Never Again!

I have a Tracker 1542. Yes, the paint is not high quality. You get what you pay for and these are inexpensive boats. That being said, I have no complaints with my Tracker. It does everything I need it to do.
