    Mounting a transducer plate

This is a good idea and I've seen the commercial products (stern saver?) have holes with ridges so that the adhesive can have better purchase on the plastic material. To duplicate that, I'm thinking about drilling some 1/2 holes and then "tapping" a bolt into the plastic to achieve the same result.

    Mounting a transducer plate

I just upgraded my sonar/GPS from a 5" Lowrance to a 9" Garmin on my Lund Fury 1400. Part of the project is to add a poly transducer plate using epoxy (or similar) so that I'm not drilling more holes into the aluminum. (I'll need to fill the existing holes from the Lowrance.) I've purchased...

    2009 Alumacraft V16

The 9.9 is way to small for a 16' with three guys. I'm doubtful you could get on plane with the 25 hp. But if you're just put-putting around and don't need to be on plane, the 25 should move the boat okay.

    Solo launching question

I do the same here with my 15' Lund. Because I have trailer guide-ons, I use a 35' line of the bow cleat which I tie to my trailer winch bracket, before backing in and floating the boat. I need to be able to clear my guide-ons, especially when loading. The long line allows me to do that in...

Any idea what year this Alumacraft is?

That's the biggest 10 footer I've seen. Three full bench seats? I'm guessing that's at least 12', prolly 14'.

    Pulling a tube

You should have no problems towing a child on a tube with a 70 hp. They make rope floats that add buoyancy where the two short sections come together, though I'm not sure that's your problem here. What time of "cavitation" problem are you having?

Bow mount trolling motor on 14' semi-V?

I have the 55 lb (12v) Terrova on my Lund Fury 1400. Highly recommend this.

    New Member Introductions!

Hello, just want to introduce myself as I registered today. Two years ago I sold my 19' (fiberglass) center console and downsized to a Lund Fury 1400 w/30 hp tiller. No regrets and I use the Lund 3X more than I used the CC, at least. More time on the water makes me a happier (and more sane)...
