Has anyone made a homemade OB motor lift strap to hoist motor onto boat?

I screwed my lift assembly to a Harbor Freight furniture dolly . Holds the bottom in place and makes it portable. I also have a chain fall mounted in the middle of my single car garage door Did the math and it should be able to support over 300 lbs

Has anyone made a homemade OB motor lift strap to hoist motor onto boat?

Wrapped the...

    Form a gasket

Thank you LaqueRatt That is what I plan to do. I did see an interesting YouTube video where some one used a Circut ( a small machine designed to cut shapes out of paper with a razor knife) to cut gaskets I am going to look into. My wife happens to already have a low end Cricut.

I wonder if it might be slop between the crankshaft and drive shaft splines.

    Rotational slop on flywheel

Hello I appreciate your availability to assist. I have a 1969 Johnson 2 stroke outboard Model 55ESL69A. I have noticed if I grab the flywheel and begin to rotate it there seems to be about 1/8 of an inch rotational freeplay. Something I might expect in an engine with loose big end rod bearings...
