humdi, not sure where you are located, but A.K. McCallum in Fayettville NC shows a basic Alumacraft 1442 for 1399. They also give tax breaks if you purchase boat motor and trailer at same time. Check out their web sight www.akmccallum.com. good luck shopping.

Suzuki 25 4 bolts on cmc tilt & trim. Suzuki 15 & Tohatsu 9.8 both clamped because I remove them when not in use. I do have cables and sturdy clips on the two clamp only motors. Hopefully if one does come loose it'll only get banged up and not gone.

I don't know for sure, but I bet AK MaCALLUM Co. In Fayetteville NC has them. They specialize in jon boats. I've got three from there now. Wife thinks I have a jon boat problem :wink: . They will ship anywhere, good luck with your search.

Congrats on the new boat, looks great. You might want to check your owners manual as your motor may have power tilt but not power trim. I have seen that on a lot of brands in that HP range.

Have you looked into changing to high performance reed valves? They claim to help power and give a better running motor all around. Never tried them myself, have gone to 4-strokes.

I've got a 25hp 4-stroke electric start without a rope start also. I use a deepcycle for the TM and I think it's a group 51 for starting, this battery is used in Acura RSX cars so it has plenty of cranking amps, but is smaller and lighter,maybe cheaper (can't remember, I try to block out boating...
