    my new front deck

Given up on fishing? me too, kind of... I mostly set crab and crawfish traps, and castnet for shrimp and mullet these days. I fish for redfish and Seatrout once in awhile,..but the limit here in NW FL is so restrictive, that mullet or shellfish is the way to go around here

    wear your PFD!!!!!

I use that type of lifevest from BassPro,...pretty comfortable. casting's not a problem

    my new front deck

LOL,...my front deck's about half that size. Now that's a casting deck,...nicely done. Do you worry at all about the weight the plywood brings? I only ask this because I've been fortunate enough to do any mods with aluminum,...mainly scrap that I've adapted to my projects,..never used plywood in...

    Low 1648 small leak

yep,..I wouldn't personally trust it to JB Marine weld or another sealant. I'd have it welded.

    Boat is too #@^^& hot!

Carpeted mine. Huge difference. Building a frame out of 1" sched 40 pvc, for a canopy that will shade most of the boat. Down here in Florida,..it do get hot in de sun!

    wear your PFD!!!!!

Exactly Krawler,..down here in the Redneck Riviera,..we get tourists that have never even driven a boat, rent a 20' pontoon and....well, we get accidents every season, sadly enough

Im a NEWBE! Welded vs. rivieted

Welded or riveted,..it's all a matter of preference. I fish the Choctawhatchee bay, and the bayous down here in FL. Salt and Brackish water,..stumps, underwater hazards everywhere. You couldn't pay me enough to fish a fiberglass boat where I fish and crab.

Im a NEWBE! Welded vs. rivieted

had 2 riveted boats in the past and they were much lighter weight alum than the 16' Weldbilt I have now. You could dent my old Tracker with your fist,...you'll break your hand on the Weldbilt. But welded also means a substantially heavier boat. I prefer the Weldbilts, very stout aluminum,..will...
