    Chrysler motors any good?

I have a 78 6hp, haven't had it long, but I asked the same question awhile Back and people who have had them seem to think they are descent motors overall. The problem is parts, they are pricey like my impeller for $50. I probably would have passed on mine but I got a good deal and was able to...

    Stairway or Freebird?

Freebird. Hard decision but Stairway is played all the time, so I enjoy Freebird more.

    Rear seat centered or offset?

I had mine centered for most of the first year, my arm was pretty much behind the seat at a weird angle. Now with the seat about 5 inches to the right, I can sit with my seat toward the port side with my feet still in front of the bench and rest my arm on the tiller comfortably all day. I can...

Oars: Prepairedness vs. Practicality vs. Space vs. ___???___

After I removed the middle seat, I quit carrying the big oars with locks. I have a gas and electric motors so I only carry a smaller oar that fits out of the way, and is mostly used for pushing the boat off of things.

How much gas is really left?

When my dakotas low fuel comes on it takes 30 miles to hit the red (about two gallons) I have never been able to put more than 18 in 21 gallon tank. My e250 has a 35 gallon tank, When it gets into the red it will take 33-34 gallons. My friend always drove his blazer down into the red, his fuel...

Gas $4.00 a gallon I need to get rid of this hobby!

I got the '83 in '97, I was 16. I worked at BK and saved all my money, It was a little beat up, but I paid cash, and gas was .87 a gallon (lost my licence with that car), It wasnt running when I graduated and moved, so when my dad moved he sold it. One of my top five favorite cars is, a black...

Gas $4.00 a gallon I need to get rid of this hobby!

Nice car looks like fun. My first car was an 83. I hear you about the hobby, I just ditched a 94 ranger and a 302 I was going to build for it, I figured after I put all the money in it I could barely afford to drive it (dakota has a v8 too). I had to get a 4-wheeler to tinker with, 250cc is a...

Do you use Fish Symbols on your Fishfinder?

Water surface temperature, depth, and telling hard or soft bottom are the only things I really use it for.

    1962 Seamaid 14 ft semi-V

Had The boat out today, steady 10-20mph winds making good chop on the lake. It didnt flex at all, with my brother and I moving around it seemed a little more stable, and the motor ran like a top.... Dont think I want to add anymore weight so at this point, Im just planning on a hardwired stereo...

Got some more done. Added the support for the seat base, tied up some loose ends. Still need a seat post for the middle and base for the bow, with the seat low the passenger will be out of my view, so thats good, an its not too bad for comfort (Im 6'1"). Have to unwire the stereo, and its ready...

Thanks for the reply. I think (hope) the sides are stronger than before. when the seat was in, if you pushed on the side it transfered the pressure to the other side, the aluminum frame does that really well so I hope that works out. Now that everything is tied into the floor it SEEMS to have...

I got a little more free time. Mostly motor work, but Ive been trying to come up with a open floor for the boat. I dont know yet what to do about the seat. I had one idea about what to do so I made a mock-up, not sure about the angle. I wanted it to be as open as possible, but stronger than the...
