    Thanks everyone. I guess i will just try to get my hands on some perforated alumn to see how I like it. If i don't, I will go with 1/16" or smaller sheet and cover it. Since i live in atlanta the heat is an issue. I am sure i could paint the perforated white, But i would hate for it to start...

    Do they paint the perforated alum. at all, or just leave it bare? Does it have enough grip with the perforation? I am also a little worried about it getting too hot during the summer, any experience?

    Cleaned Reels this weekend

    I would not recommend to grease the worm gear on the level wind. It will cost you distance, grab any dirt, and eventually wear the paw out faster. It just needs to be oiled lightly. Basically the only thing that needs a light coat of grease is the gears. Lightly oil everything else.
