I bought carpet from boatcarpetsales off of ebay. Fairly impressed with the quality thus far, much better than the Lowes/Home Depot option. It's still going in so it hasn't yet stood the test of time, but the look and feel has made me a believer. DD

Pretty sure that the Styrofoam isn't going to add to the buoyancy; it sounds like that is your question. The only reason to use Styrofoam on a boat is to provide buoyancy should the boat go wrong-side-down. So by adding Styrofoam you are actually detracting from the provided buoyancy provided...

Spangler, I would stay away from PT completely. What are you using 2x6s for? That seems like a ton of weight to be adding to a 1436. I'm using 2x3s on my build and it's plenty strong enough. I resize my photos in paint and then post them in here... seems to work well. I look forward to...
