yes it does have power but he needs to connect the blue plug to the new gray plug on the new I pilot , is it as easy as splicing on a new plug? not sure how that would work with the pins...

just answered my own question, I was not looking at bgg the "D2" model .

was doing some research on my ignition timing on my 2004 50D2 tohatsu after reading a the service manual online. according to the manual my timing link rod should be 5in and my throttle link should be 3.82in. I took a peak at mine out of curiosity and they seem to be flip flopped? is anyone...

I tried the wizard but my boat is older than 79 and I can't seem to find my 2004 50 tohatsu either..... this is a pic of it. I don't have a tach but I'm sure I could get one.

Thanks for the replies and advice, the 12 pitch prop was suggested and ordered from the dealer that installed the motor. As for the mariner I took excellent care of both of them maybe I had too high of expectations. Love the tohatsu though, always hear great things about them.

This might be a stupid question but I am going to be re powering my 16ft v hull "starcraft no clue what model" with a 2004 50hp tohatsu, can I expect to see much better performance compared to my 1990 60hp mariner? I bought the new motor based on reliability compared to the mariner that I hated...

Exactly my thoughts LDUBS. I want the be able to remove the entire thing because i mostly duck hunt out of my boat and in certain situations it would get in the way as well as get beat up pretty bad and im not exactly sold on how durable these brackets are..
