I was just wondering if liquid gasket would work to seal around bolts on a new transom or for adding sealant to new closed rivets to replace rivets in a hull. Especially since liquid gasket is way cheaper and easier to find, has anyone used it, did it fair ok?

A few months ago I found this boat at a local scrap yard for $40. I needed a boat to fish from, and Ideas were flowing the minute I saw it. The last registration said it was a 1973 but the make wasn't listed it just said "johnboat," If any of ya'll could help id the maker I'd really appreciate...
