    Boat Names

I've seen a few at a local beach bar. One was 'Shipfaced', another was 'Last Call' with the lettering going from being upright to falling over.

Rattle Can or Brush on Self Etching Primer?

FYI I found the RustOleum etching primer @ Aubuchon Hardware. I've never used it before now, but it appears to work great. As for sanding aluminum I use scotch brite pads. They scuff the surface nicely. That's my .02

    Marine sealants/adhesives.....

Found some Boat Life-Life Caulk at my local shop today. Anyone have any experience with it? I would like to run a new bead down my hull. It has separated and cracked in spots. This caulk I found says it sticks to wood, metal, fiberglass and glass. Also says its can be sanded and painted, but...

    driving lights

You could try a tractor utility light. I think they're 4". I put one on my atv. Soldered a longer wires on and added alligator clips to hook it to my battery. Then I bolted a wood working spring clamp to the mounting bracket so it could be put in different spots or put in the storage box. Works...

    Trolling motor battery preferences

I was looking at the optima batteries. I put one in my Deere 1050 about 7 years ago, still perfect. I want to get one of the MinnKota chargers but pretty sure the Mrs. would scalp me if I bought one. She caught me eyeballing boat stuff when we went to the Cabelas in Scarborough. Gave me 'the...

    Trolling motor battery preferences

Thanks for the tips. Maybe I charged it too often. I thought I should be able to get 3 or 4 seasons out of a battery. I think I'll charge the ones I have then have them checked at my local shop, I don't have a load tester. Hopefully one of them is still good.

    Trolling motor battery preferences

I am curious what batteries you guys prefer. I have tried the Everstart batteries from Wal-Mart with not much luck. They don't seem to last very long. I have a good charger and use a Minn Kota 55lb motor. I have run out of warranty freebies so now I am looking at other brands. They are about...
