I gave up on mono years ago. I always keep an eye out for braid on clearence, and usually in the spring one of the manufacturers has a rebate going. And definately back your spools with the cheap mono crap.

Mine is being remodeled right now. Just ordered flooring for it tonight. :D

Well the good news is I don't think you missed too much on the opener this year. It was pretty brutal on Nag. windy and cold. I did manage to boat 8 pike and a couple of smallies. We had 50 degree water temps all day. Hope you have better luck next time out.

I found some spray on equate wal-mart brand last year. SPF 65 I think it is. I like the spray ons, but I have found that you still need to rub them in because you will tan spray spots it you don't.
