Just occurred to me that a drone would be another electronic fish-finder for serious fisherman. Did a google search (attached) and it seems there are drones designed for this. Has anyone had any experience with them? Are they too high-tech to be considered sporting...

A friend got this set of Lapland fishing kit. He's identified all but the second-from-bottom item, the long rod with the arrowhead tip. Best guess so far is that is is a pick used to hold a fish down while the hooks and such are removed, but that's just speculation. Any suggestions appreciated

I was noodling about using an outboard on a jon boat to travel over snow. Did a Google search and sure enough, some one has already done it, for ice. I love it! (Dunno about snow...but a ski set-up might be cobbled.) Enjoy. There's almost no limit to the trouble some men will go to in order...

Well, the fuel pump works fine, the motor seems well suited for the 12ft 1956 Alumacraft RB, but... first water trial ended with half-dozen high revs instances on the engine with no speed increase. Apparently the vulcanized rubber between the bronze center and the aluminum prop started...
