Was under the console fixing a crack and I saw this. Does the clip look correct or should it be pushed on further?

Any idea how to fix this? Anybody try JB weld for aluminum? Not sure if it would hold up. Console shakes too much in rough water.

This is what I use for my boat cover support. Remove the seats from the poles and do a quick fabrication from PVC. PVC slides over the seat poles and add an extra leg in the middle for support. Goes on quick after fishing and will outlast anything store purchased.
