Hello all, been reading and viewing others modification threads and I decided to share mine and my dad's project. My dad got this boat from his father (my grandfather) and it sat behind his shed for a year or so. Now we decided to give this thing a new look and get it back in the water. Gonna be a boat used primarily for fishing multi-species and dinking around on the water. It is a 1980's 14' Mirrocraft resort etc. First step was to clean out the leaves and junk and pull off the existing junk we no longer need / want on it. Then we started getting the bad paint stripped off. The end product should be a casting deck on the bow with storage compartment and swivel seat. A deck over the splash well / fuel storage area. Rod storage along both sides. And a flat floor between the two existing benches. Carpet up to the rails. Fresh dark blue paint along the sides with a bare aluminum bottom. Going to add a 20 horse something or other to push her around, bow mount and a few other goodies. I'll post updates as they come along. Any comments, insight or ideas are much appreciated.
