I have been lurking around this site for over a year stealing all of the good ideas! I bought my boat last summer after deciding that I needed one to teach the kids how to fish. I bought it from an older fellow who bought it new in 1975. He told me that he used it to teach his kids and his grandkids how to fish and now that his health was declining he wanted to pass it along to someone else. I was the lucky one and pulled it home. I promptly moved my wife's car out of the garage and proclaimed that spot as my own! I took her out (the wife) a few times to smooth things over. Then I took her out (the boat) and used her for a few months without really changing anything. I wanted to see what worked and what I needed to change. My daughter (the river rat) and I went out several times and I made mental notes. I wanted this boat to be enjoyed by both kids and still functional as a fisher. I owe a lot of my knowledge from the members here (especially the electrical) and I thank you. This is still a work in progress and I'll update with pictures as she comes along! If anyone has suggestions or see changes that should be made to make it more functional feel free!
