While it is still a little tacky, I will line up the exterior and interior aluminum patches that will be pre drilled and etched. Rivet them together and dredge my new transom wood in epoxy and slide it in and bolt it to the transom support bracket. I will be wetting out all of my rivets and screws with 5200.
