You don't want to scrimp on anything that helps to water proof the boat. 5200 is well proven and the Gold Standard of Marine caulk/adhesives. You should able able to get it at virtually any Lowes/HD, West Marine, NAPA or other auto parts stores. A toothpaste size tube is only about $7 and will last for ages. Plus, it's great for all sorts of other jobs and cures white and is paintable.
