I need some advice on the best way to mount a dome shaped 6 hole pedestal to the floor of my 22' Xpress CC. I already tried mounting seats to each side of the captians bench on the back deck. They sat on top of the 2 compartments and were not stable. I need to be able to mount the pedestals to the floor on either side of the CC for passengers to sit going to the fishing hole. The boat came with no passenger seats. I called Xpress and a guy told me that there are ribs that run crossways across the floor but you can't tell the location of them. I figure my best bet is to center the base on a rib if I could find them. You obviously can't use bolts and nuts on the floor. I plan on using rivets but am worried the aluminum floor won't hold up. Anybody have any ideas. They sure would be appreciated.
