I thought I would post a mid-summer update on this build. We have had the boat on the lake quite a few times. Fortunately, everything functions as it should! There are no leaks, mechanical, or electrical issues at all. I did have to put some ballast weight on the left side of the boat early in the season, which works perfectly. I had the 1986 Johnson 40hp serviced at beginning of the season. New water pump, carbs rebuilt. I replaced the spark plugs and control cables, installed a new SS prop and hydrofoil. The motor runs great and pushes the boat, two adults and a dog, at 29mph The LiTime 100aH LiFePO4 battery has been a great investment. I use the TM for the vast majority of our time on the lake. After 6-7 hours on the lake there is still 70 percent charge left, based on the dedicated onboard voltmeter. Overall, This has been a rewarding build. We enjoy our time on the lake with this boat.
