I have a 1988 25hp evinrude, what would it take to boost it to a 35hp evenrude? If you already answered this please forgive me.

I was thinking of doing it to my 1984 sea king I had BUT It is more than just a carb change like it is with evinrude motor. the intake and piston size was different according to the parts lady I talked too. :(

fish first, find out what you like about the boat and what you think may and may not work. then when you have digested it, saved up money and accumulated the stuff to do the mod tear into it in the winter and do it right. Did I mention Its april and you should be fishing. :roll: :wink: :mrgreen:

I HAD ONE OF those. when I was 22 or so. painted a neighbors 1968 vw bug in exchange for it. The best of 6 paint job career and also the best boat I ever had. Ive had bigger better but that little 12' I had some great times on. lots of trout and bass caught with a little 17 lb thrust min...

I found a hole on my 84 lowe and went to O'Reillys and got JB weld for marine use mixed it up put it on and it is still there. I think a crack needs to be welded but for a hole 1" or less the JB weld worked for me. :wink:

I have a 1648 with a 25 all set up but I have a 15hp sitting in the garage I been thinking about finding a 1432 to put it on. It would make it fly and the wife would kill me [-X :lol:

Its a nice boat and trailer and a good deal. no offense but it looks like it might be a 1432 and the build plate shows 1430. I dont think a high deck would be good on the boat, stability wise. Wood decking on the bottom of the boat and pedestal seats on the floor might work good. A 5-15 hp...

In my opinion NO. WAIT to find a evinrude/johnson 25hp for the $500 that guy is asking for his sea king. I have had 2 9,9hp and 1 15hp sea king/chryslers(still have the 15). all have run fine and have been good motors but replacement parts can be a challenge to find. $500 will get you a...

Well I had 2 different vehicles to pull my 14' richline. One was a 1990 toyota corolla with a 1.6l engine and the other was a 1984 toyota vanwagon with a 2.0l engine. Both were GUTLESS wonders, especially the van, But both did the job adequately. both hitches were bolt to the rear bumper style...

I like what your doing, I have the same in a lowe jon boat but with bench seats. yours will be cool when done. All I did was add a smaller front deck, foot troller, flooring and a back seat. thats the great thing about jonboats, you can make it whatever you want.

Try posting on WWW.texasfishingforum.com or craigslist. I recently paid $350 for a 15hp sea king. I would say you can get 450-650 for it as a guess. 25 hp can be had for about that or a little more. good luck :roll: :roll:
