9.9 sea king mod

Hello and good afternoon all. I understand that the topic of installing a 15 hp carb on a 9.9 has been brought up numerous times. However after searching I was unable to locate a year specific post. I have a 1980 sea king 9.9 and I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to share with me if a 1981 15 hp carb would fit and be the only upgrade needed to increase the horsepower to 15. I did check the block part number and it appears to be the same. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I was thinking of doing it to my 1984 sea king I had BUT It is more than just a carb change like it is with evinrude motor. the intake and piston size was different according to the parts lady I talked too.

I have heard the same thing however other years or so I have been old are different. I'm not sure of which years though. Anybody else?
