    Onecoolcad's 1971 12' Foremost V-hull Modification

After careful consideration and reading the great information here, I decided to abandon the major decking plan for my boat. I modified the plan to use the bench height as my guide and deck only the bow and stern portions. The stern will be level with the bench and the bow will drop off about...

Here we go! Next Question: the tounge on my trailer is only 2 1/2" tube steel. Every thing I find for Winch Post's are designed for 2" and 3" Tube Steel. What are my options? FYI the existing post is still attached but I had to demo the Bow Roller Mount and makeshift Winch Mount. I guess I...

    Onecoolcad's 1971 12' Foremost V-hull Modification

OK Members, I'm having a tough go of it here about this Bondo'd hole I found. All of the welders that I have contacted say or claim that the location of and type of welding needed is very expensive and next to impossible because fo the cleanliness involved with aluminum welding. So, I guess my...

    1988 BOAT TRAILER (RE-FURB)

Burnt through a Black and Decker drill with a wire wheel on it! (guess it got too hot). Gonna pick up a hand grinder today, see if that helps Found the name plate, so I have a general direction to go in searching details (if any) on the trailer.

    Onecoolcad's 1971 12' Foremost V-hull Modification

Uh Oh!!! BONDO!!! After a closer inspection yesterday, I found this (see pic). Guess I will have to find a welder. Daunting task because I would have had the other project fixed if I didn't have to haul this thing 100 miles away! :? You know my location, so anybody in my general area know...

    1988 BOAT TRAILER (RE-FURB)

Questions abound when I dig into this old trailer I bought (part of a $300 package deal). The picture depicts what the trailer used to loook like before I dismantled it. So far I stripped off the old wiring harness and lights, the hull supports and washed all the spider webs away. What is...

    Onecoolcad's 1988 12' Valco "BASKETCASE"

I'm going to let the tinboat.net members give the "Thumb Up" or "Thumb Down" on the potential of this hull being restored. The history of this boat is flaky at best, but it is title and reg clear, came with a 1988 Envenrude 15 h.p. 2 stroke and a MinKota 65 trolling moter combined with a...
