    Cabelas Bench Seat Pad

I bought one this spring and I love it. Had to order it, because it's not in the stores. Really easy to mount, comes off the boat in a snap. I thought they would have pockets on both sides, but it's just one side. My boat runs better if my passenger is on the center seat, so everyone that his...

Winter storage of remaining fuel in boat

Me too. My Yamaha is 100:1, but prior to this motor every outboard I have owned has been run at a stronger than 50:1 mix. That gas does not go to waste. It ends up in my lawnmower, chainsaw, ice auger, weed whipper, pressure washer or wheeler. Never a problem as of yet. In fact the only time I...

Winter storage of remaining fuel in boat

Put it in your snowblower  I never leave gas over the winter, and if you have ethanol gas in your area, it's really bad news. My father in law is a small engine mechanic, and will not work on any of my machines if I run Stabil.

    Flipping Trailer Axel

I don't know if I can explain this better than that last link. Do you guys understand now?

    Thoughts on hydrofoils

I had one on a 14' Northwoods V-hull. That boat would porpoise really badly, and had a heck of a time getting on step. The Stingray Jr improved the time to plane very well, but I'm pretty sure I lost a little on the top end. Check out the reviews on Cabela's.

    Flipping Trailer Axel

If it is a positive cambered axle, with the spring perches on the top of the axle for the current spring-over, then he flips the axle and attaches it to the top of the spring for a spring-under the camber will become a negative cambered axle. Welding new spring perches on the opposite side they...

    Flipping Trailer Axel

I assume your axle has a slight v-shaped bend to it? They are designed with a slight upside down "V" to handle the load when it is applied to the trailer. If that is the case, you will need to reposition the spring perch opposite to where it was. Just weld new perches on and you should be good...

    Norshor's 4650 Deep/Wide Build

I built 2x2 frame, then attached it with 90 degree galvanized decking supports (I painted them and the boat's aluminum so I won't have problems) to the front of the seat. Then I padded the front of the frame and attached it with a vertical support so the chine of the boat wasn't take the...

    Silly motor question

Mine is unlocked unless I am bactrolling. The lake I was on today goes from 50 fow of water to 6 fow in a few boat lengths. With the ever changing lake levels in our resevoirs, islands and stumps and rockpiles can be above water or disappear from week to week. I much prefer to kick my motor up...

can any suggest a good online parts supplier?

Iboats has always shipped fast for me, and their prices seem good. They pretty much lost my business last time though. I was looking at parts for my Yamaha 15, and needed a hand figuring out the specific part numbers because they don't have a fiche online. I called and the guy that helped me...

    Norshor's 4650 Deep/Wide Build

Made a few more additions this spring. The trolling motor is mounted and works great. I installed all my light bases (Perko Camo of course), Perk Camo cleats, upright and trolling rod holders, gps, a Cabela's bench seat pad for the center and the ladder extension guide-ons. I have been spending...

    Awesome Accessory Battery

I have a stack of them from my Humminbird Ice-35, and other various flashers that I have owned over the years. Since my main battery that powers my bow mount trolling motor is under the bow deck, I threw one of them in the back to run my Humminbird 343. I didn't have my switch panel in yet and...

to buy or not to buy??? maybe you guys can answer

I wasn't saying you needed to be  I only know because I have family in the next town over. Don't blink, or you'd miss it. I was supporting the hypothesis.

to buy or not to buy??? maybe you guys can answer

His username has "Chaska" in it, a suburb of the Twin Cities. I'm in Duluth, 3 hours away. He did have an outboard with it. Must have sold the outboard for around $750 I would guess and adjusted his price. https://duluth.craigslist.org/boa/1829862681.html He even listed it over a month ago...

to buy or not to buy??? maybe you guys can answer

I saw that one pop up a few times. I think it used to have an outboard as well. Have you taken a look at it yet? That's about the going rate for a Lund and Trailer from what I have seen around here. I could maybe check it out, if you like.

Sorry for the hijack  Did you lose much top end with the River Runner? I have read mixed reviews.
