I planned out the placement before attaching, so that the light spread would fit the parameters. It does, so I should be in good shape.
Here is a picture of the switch panel I mounted to the bottom of my console. Basically, it's just a piece of 2x2 angle aluminum. Does the trick, and keeps the console neat. With a 1/2" drill bit, I can add as many switches as will fit. I hate drilling holes in boats.
