I finally pulled the trigger and picked up a decent project boat. Just getting started with it but curious for opinions on if I should save my money and go for a new motor or try to fix this one up. Known issues, the starter mount has one stripped bolt hole and the other was broken when tightening. (Prior to me). I did take and mixed up some fuel and, cleaned the plugs and tried to see if it would start. It does not act like it is getting any spark at all. Curious for opinions.

Spent a few hours ripping out carpet and scrapping the interior. Pulled all the hardware, the hatches are just laid in to use as measurements when I recut the new hatches. When cleaning the inside of the hull, is there anything that you can spray on the walls to help get the glue scrapped down good?

Welcome @horsesoldier03 That will be a project for you for sure. But well worth the outcome when finished.
What was the glue used for and where is the glue applied? Goof Off will remove glue but may damage what the glue is attached to. Goo Gone is another product that is citrus based and will remove sticky stuff but probably not dried glue. It's not an invasive product and is pretty mild.
More info please.

The glue is mainly applied to the floor of the hull and was holding the carpet down. I am sure some residue will be ok but would like to get it back down to mostly clean metal so that it stick good when I put in the new carpet.

Started working the glue with SIMPLE GREEN and a wire wheel. It is coming off pretty good. Once I go to wash it , the simple green should act as a degreaser as well so the area will be close to ready for glue and carpet.
