80 lb Traxxis

Just got an 80 lb minn kota traxxis and just noticed it draws 56A max. The 70 lb draws 42A, that's 14A more for 10lbs of thrust.

My Deka batteries do 200 minutes @ 23A reserve capacity which will probably get me about 65-70 minutes full blast on the water right? It seems like the 70lb motor is the better deal for battery life.

What do you guys do? Run 4 batteries to get more time on a 24V setup

Even a 55lb motor with two batteries in parallel will get your more time

If you plan on going full throttle all the time, your probably right. There's a chance the 80lber doesn't have to be turned up so high, to get your desired fishing speed.
