I have a 10' hydroplane in the garage, someday I'll get it rebuild and on the water.
 
The flat hulls were jumping up and down but the stepped hulls were running fast and straight.

Amazing. Dirtbike motor and a sheet of plywood. The vet I used to work told stories of him and his brother building similar boats that ran on hopped up 5hp outboards running them on the rappahanock river back in the day. I also liked the fact they were all mud motors.
