center console stick steering

anyone use stick steering on a center console jon boat ?
thinking a tracker 1448 with a very small center console with stick steering ..i have a yamaha 9.9 remote
i thought that it might work ok....?? dunno ??
whats y'all thinks ?

I guess it's what ever you prefer but I thought the whole purpose and reason for coming up with stick steer in the first place was so you could have remote steer without the console. :lol:

This is my thought as well. If you have a console, you might as well slap a steering wheel on it, otherwise what would the console be for?
