changing over cable steering to a tiller handle 9.9hp

Has anyone ever converted a cable steer motor to a tiller handle? I know they sell the tiller handle kit just was wondering if worth time/money to change it over. Im lookin at a ' 05 Merc. 9.9hp.

Depends on the boat & the price of the motor.Tillers for Merc are not cheap.
