Motor will be used primarily for slow trolling in a medium sized lake. Boat is 15' smokercraft alaskan. I need to be able to control the motor from the stern, which is why i'm looking at wireless/long cable motors. I definitely prefer wireless so I don't have a cable running down the middle of boat.

Also, do you guys think 45lb's should be enough? Normal total weight of boat, motor, people and stuff is around 850lbs

Thanks

On the MK, that's a good price for the co pilot. You could save a hundred bucks on the motor if you buy off Amazon

Don't know much about the PD version, but the auto pilot is a good accessory to have, will control or keep the boat going at the same speed and heading while you're doing other things in the boat, makes trolling much easier. I have an ipilot on a terrova, and its even better, but the AP works very well.
