I have a Triton TS17 with a 75 HP Opti- with that engine , 3 batteries,13 gal gas tank and seating in rear 1/3rd of the boat the front of the boat is light- not noticeable when on plane & running but at low or idle speeds the front end wanders- maneuvering ( Both forward and reverse) is an adventure. Any suggestions? Thanks

Sounds like you need more control authority at low speeds. My old glass I/O boat loved to stick it's nose up in the air so I made a 3/16" aluminum cavitation plate and that made the boat launch and settle off plane in a flat attitude. At speed the thin metal did not slow the hull down either so it was a winner all around.

It also made getting back in the boat a lot easier after swimming.

If you are leaving the trim up and have a fin angled up it will wander at idle. Like a crank bait. One person will also make it drift one direction.
