Not sure but i think we have them around here East,TN.
And i know of some large nest.If that is them.
good pic.

I have seen them myself in TN. The particular lake we fish happens to be the largest nesting area for the Osprey in the WORLD!.... I used to work for the Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission and I have traveled a lot and they are all over the South East United States for sure! ( haven't traveled much west of TX. so I can't say for sure about anything other than what I have seen for myself)

Great pic.. We have them here in Va. It's awesome to watch them fish.. They'll make the turn, fold their wings back and hit the water talons first.. Simply amazing at what speed they hit the water. Sounds like hitting the water with a boat oar..

WOW that is a terrific clip of Osprey doing what they do best! (awesome song too, one of my all time Faves =D> )
I have a red shoulder hawk and a family of swallow tail kite that live in the trees in my backyard. I LOVE them. but I have to admit if you ever saw the movie "Failure to launch" where the one chick has a Mocking bird in her tree by her bedroom window... I KNOW THE FEELING OF WANTING TO CUT DOWN EVERY TREE WITHIN A 5 MILE RADIUS!!....lol it drives me crazy, at first it was aww how sweet, sounds of nature ...but it has gone to "That DEMON BIRD, Will it EVER shut up" lol

Very nice pic. I love birds of prey.

Me too! I have a ton of pics! I love to just sit back quietly and observe them for hours ( if the bird is willing) for me though it is not just the birds of prey but I am blessed to live with so many different species of bird I admit I love them from the hateful Blue-Jay in my yard ( it attacks cats ...that's cool!) to the crazy redhead woodpecker that fights with the squirrels, to the Sand Hill crane families.... to Hank our red shoulder hawk and even a few old barred owls hang out here..... it is paradise!
