I have a Minn Kota Traxxis 55 trolling motor and need to install a fuse or breaker near the battery. I have a Tracker Grizzly 1754 jon boat and will have the battery in the stern while the trolling motor will be on the bow. I hope the 6 gauge wire will be sufficient, I'm not sure how the proper gauge should be determined. Not a whole lot of TM plug choices when using 6 gauge. I would like to see how you on the forum set yours up.

I also am confused on why some of the bow/stern lights are offered in either 2 or 3 pin. Is one for grounding? If so, how would you ground it on an aluminum boat? Any insight would be appreciated.

You should be fine with 6ga. Thats what I used on mine. I used the marinco plug, 6ga adapter and receptacle.

All of your bow/stern lights have a ground that grounds to the battery. I have a 3 pin bow light and the extra pin is for a task light on the back of the pole. This is the one I have.

I would recommend one of these inline. This one is a 24v, you will need to get one that will match your motor. 12v or 24v.
