i used an old trolling motor transom mount removed the shaft , then cut a paddle and put on the trolling motor mount where the shaft connects .

I got it, I didn't have the correct serial # and content # from my unit. Very cool feature, now you can map a lake or pond and have it on you plotter!

I've done all except load the map. I thought it was supposed to load automatically. How do I load the map?

Does anyone know how to use the Gofree maps? I'v recorded and down loaded my own maps & social maps, but can't seem to load onto my Elite 4 HDI?? Do I maybe have to update the software its about 3 years old? Seems like a really cool feature.

Thanks Guys for the advise! Used a my trolling motor battery to test the lights and sure enough it was just a loose ground wire on the trailer.

They are incandescent and no its not a tilt trailer. I'll try running the ground to each light.' thanks

I have the tracker 1436. No real problems, just the paint chips off easily. The fishing I do is just like you, smaller ponds & lakes, usually alone. So, its suits me fine. Looking at the Alumacraft its 2" wider & 2" longer with storage too. A boat that small every inch helps! Its does weight...

Used 3/4" plywood, treated the plywood with water sealer. Seats have swivels under them. Go as big as your budget will allow you to, the topper is a 1542. Wish I had gone up to the 1542 for the extra $$. A little more room for a few extra $$ would have been worth it! Good luck!

Has anyone put a livewell in the center seat of a 1436? I think that's my next mod? Any help or advise would be appreciated!

Stability is good. The front deck is at water level so its perfect for that boat. I've tried standing on the rear deck & it does get a little tippy. You just have to be aware of how your moving around in the boat. The 9.5hp evenrude is also just right, with just me in the boat I'm hitting 17-18...

Yeah, that's exactly how I have it set up. Works good, but foot control would be better. One problem I'm having is making a mount for the transom mount on the front of the boat. I've almost lost the motor twice, there's a lot a of flex on highest speed. Any ideas?

Thanks, That's just to lay my rods across, with velcro rod holders. Have a very active 6 yr old who loves to fish with me, was afraid he would fall on them & get hurt or break em.
