    Paint for boat name

I'm looking to stencil and paint on the name of my jet jon. Not sure if I need to use special paint or if anything will do. Has anyone done this? I figured it would be cooler than just having graphics made. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    My jet Jon build thread

Small update: the boat is slowly ripping itself apart still. I ended up taking the center bench out to reinforce the area from the front of the engine to just after the bench. It's the last part of the boat with no reinforcement and it's bad. The rivets are cracking from stress. When I pulled...

    Rivet fixing

Small update on this: I ordered more 2 part resin and I am going to bury the through bolts that I have already placed. The bolts are holding but some of them are leaky Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Best PWC engine/pump for 17ft Bass Tracker

I have a Yamaha pump with a stock 701 in my 14 foot Jon. It goes 35 with just me in it and probably around 32 with me and another person. You might need something bigger. My boat will probably get a Kawasaki 1100 swap eventually. You might want to try for that to start Sent from my iPhone...

    Rivet fixing

Yea several were physically loose and a few even had cracks forming. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Rivet fixing

Yea I was thinking about putting something on the hull to make it even stronger. I'm worried about the weight though. I wonder if my boat is thinner than others. Seems like there's a lot of build threads for jet jons but no one discusses anything about going beyond the limits of the hull Sent...

    Rivet fixing

I have added a lot of reinforcement to the front of the boat. Most of the rivets in the back half of the boat are buried in epoxy so they aren't moving. It's just the middle bench forward. I think this is probably going to be an ongoing issue with the boat and I might just have to accept it...

    Rivet fixing

My rivets are getting loose and in some cases the boat is cracking around them. I think it's because the boat isn't made to be hitting waves with all the extra weight at 35mph. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Rivet fixing

I've been using similar headed bolts. Some of them I have been putting fender washers on because cracks are forming. Kinda sucks I have so much time and money in this boat and something so simple is keeping me from really enjoying it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Rivet fixing

So after finally getting my jet Jon running and performing good, the rivets aren't holding up to the abuse. I have been thru bolting them with 3m 5200. Is this the best way to go about fixing leaky rivets for good? There seems to be no discussion about this when looking over build threads for...

    My jet Jon build thread

Skat swir prop is the best mood ever for this boat! It takes off from idle like a freight train and hookup in chop is improved a lot! Anyone who's on the fence about spending a lot of money on an aftermarket prop, do it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    My jet Jon build thread

Small update on the boat. It's been running good for awhile now with the new 701. I had to reinforce the front of the boat because it was caving in from water hitting it. This caused a few holes which I ended up through bolting with 5200. The boat seems to not be leaking much now. I also have...

    Bilge pump

I was actually checking those out. I wasn't sure how close to the bottom of the boat the pickup sat. Do you have any pics for reference? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Bilge pump

I'm trying to figure out options for a bilge pump to use on my jet Jon. I don't know if someone makes a low profile bilge pump that will work in an inch or less of water or if there is a remote pump that I can mount somewhere higher and run a hose down. Or if there's something that I'm...

    Jon boat reinforcement

Here's what we did first. To prevent leaks, i will bury this in some cloth and epoxy resin. I will probably put another piece of something across the middle to add extra strength. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
