wouldnt you need to custom make controls for that motor?? also make a custom consol. the best way would be with aluminum due to not as much weight.if your not good with metals these metal guys are looking for work. so if you buy the materials and make measurements they will probably fab it up...

off to a great start. i have a 1232, in my opinion dont go overboard with the decking, especially with wood. i did a front and back deck and it added a little bit too much weight for my liking.

it looks good, round is good for any bait.

i did wood for the same reason you are questioning it. wood you have more lee-way but quite a bit heavier. i used wood and my next jon i will use aluminum. wood if you leave it outside in the weather you have to worry about rot. aluminum you have to worry about corrosion(white powder/residue)...

Im looking to buy this motor but the posting says "Runs good high speed not so good low speed" any guru's out there know what this could be? carb? lower unit? motor itself fried? for the price i just want to know what im getting into. its a 1977 25hp electric start, tiller, johnson for 180$

my neighbor had an older tracker that had grey carpet on it. i went to the home depot and got grey indoor/outdoor carpet and he says it is just like his old tracker.

i did mine in the krylon flat olive and havent had any probs with it.
