Man it looks like you have a great starting point. I would replace the bench seat wood, and build off that. If its a casting type deck you are wanting, I would just use a simple frame made of 2x2's with 3/4 plywood. Cost should be well under $100 for the deck, and carpet usually runs about $3.20...
