    trolling motor receptacle location

I completely gutted my front deck in my current boat and built a larger one with storage. This made it easy to install a trolling motor receptacle on the front deck as I had access to the under side. I'm considering purchasing a new weldbilt and I'm not really interested in doing a lot of deck...

    my new front deck

I think it looks great! How does the hydro turf feel compared to carpet? Is it very soft? Would it feel good on barefeet? I'm looking to get a new boat, but I can't decide on carpet or hyrdo turf. I mostly fish these days, but would like to take back up duck hunting when my son gets a few...

    Trout Fishing

Cool...sounds like you may be in 56? Any tips on where to Fish. We will be staying at Jack's on the River. I've fished on the white at Guion a lot, but never mountain view. Grew up in Batesville, so Guion was failry close. Is the water low? Thanks!

Where do you live in AR? Where did you go fishing? I live in Greenbrier and will be heading to Mountain View next weekend for a two day trout trip on the White.

Alternatives to carpet - Mats or similar padding?

I believe I saw someone on this site use some type of mat in their boat. Looked very good, but can't find it anywhere. Something like this https://www.mackspw.com/Item--i-STXNEOMATSS except it was not the neo mat. Whatever it was I liked it better than the neo mat. Does anyone know of any mat...

Need Help picking out Boat for the whole family

Ok...so I really like the alumacraft 1648s that I found on I-boats. Price isn't that bad either. https://boats.iboats.com/alumacraft-jon-boats/b821c200021pa2/ Assuming they make boats for short shaft motors, which I'm pretty certain they do as the specs show it online. Price isn't that bad...

Need Help picking out Boat for the whole family

My current set up in my 1448... I completely gutted the front bench and front deck. Then built the a new larger front deck (can't remember the deminsions) that left me 6 foot of open floor space. Enough for most rods and for me to take a nap :D . I carpeted it and installed a couple doors...

Need Help picking out Boat for the whole family

Just posted this in the watering hole and realized it wasn't the best place for it... I've been running a customized Lowe 1448 big jon for around 12 years. I have a 2005 or 2006 tohatsu 25hp on it. It has worked great for me and my 5 yr old son, but my wife wants to start going with our...

    makes sense. Thanks

    4amp bilge 3amp switch

I just realized that my bilge pump requires a 4amp fuse, but my switch is only rated for 3amps. The bilge is the last thing I want to mess up when I need it. I assume I need to replace with a larger capacity switch? Thanks

    Switch Panels witout fuses

Does anyone have them? I'm having a hard time locating them. I think I'm going to use a fuse panel, so I don't want fuses in my switch panel. I'm going to have some devices not on a switch, so I think it would look cleaner to use a switch panel and fuse panel with a (-) busbar and avoid the...
