    Lets see your anchor systems

Circumference of a circle is 2 x 3.14 x radius. By my math, a 4 inch spool would give you a little more than a foot of pick up per turn. Back to my point, would you really want to turn a handle 15 times for 15 feet. If you make the spool bigger, it seems like you might reach a point that is...

    Lets see your anchor systems

As for any kind of manual handle winch, even if the pick up was say 1 foot per turn, that is still a lot of turns for even 15 ft. It would be quicker to pull it up by hand. I think I like the idea of a small atv winch is better. I seen some online for only $50. You could probably replace...

How sturdy is that scotty anchor? The pic on bass pros looks like it is plastic.

    Skipping Docks

I was wondering that myself. I think he is swinging the lure around at the end of the rod and turning his hand under. I tired casting underneath my truck while standing up on a bench. Not a lot of docks around here either, but there are low hanging tree branches. Seems even harder with one...

    2001 Merc 15

try putting the motor in forward gear when you tilt and the shallw tilt thing wont engage. I think it is like this in case you hit something while driving the motor will not be locked allowing it to swing back.

    Alumacraft 1448MV - Catfish, Casting & Bowfishing

River, nice job on that deck. I like the hatches. Are you able to stand on them without them giving? I have been tossing around the idea buying those kind of hatches.

    Lets see your anchor systems

I think I could make something similar to that for a lot less out of an old trailer winch like this https://www.etrailer.com/dept-pg-Trailer_Winch.aspx. I thought maybe somebody tried to adapt the winch wheel to do the same thing as that anchormate. For $75, I will just pull the anchor out of...

    Lets see your anchor systems

Anybody ever think about trying to rig up a cheap manual trailer winch as a way to quickly drop and wind up a small anchor? The price on the electric winches are unbelievable. Also check out this cool video of a homemade electric power pole...

Post a pic of your mounted bow trolling motor.

KRS62, Does your motor deploy and sto without hitting the boat with no overhang? I am deciding where to mount my TM and it seems like no matter where I put it, it wants to hit the boat. My only solution so far has been to possibly mount the motor bracket with about 4 inches of overhang from...

anyone using an iPhone to mark way points? if so how?

Please keep us updated on how this works out for you. I was thinking of doing something similar. I sometimes use my garmin to clock my speed. Might be able to save waypoints on that as well.

    Spray Liner for Aluminum Livewell

Thanks for the reply Jim. The previous owner of my boat used the livewell under the center bench seat for his battery. He glued a piece of styrofoam to the bottom of the livewell tank to sit the battery on. I have removed as much of the glue as I can, but there is still some residual. I...

    Spray Liner for Aluminum Livewell

I was wondering if anybody has used any kind of spray liner for the inside of an aluminum livewell? The one in the center bench seat of my boat is pretty rough from the previous owner and I would like to clean it up. I am worried about using something that might harm the fish. I would...

    livewell

I know this is a dumb question, but I was wondering how you remove your fish from the livewell. Do you use some sort of net to transfer them into a bag. I am just curious what your procedures are for removal and weigh ins. I am thinking about rigging up a cooler livewell as well to try to fish...
