Its a 1987 boat, all original carpet and glue. And some carpet/glue is on wood, but the front casting deck is all fiber glass and thats the area in concerned with. I have been told everything from Hot Water to sanding.

What is the best way to remove carpet glue from a fiberglass boat?

Do i just drill through the plywood or the jon boat bench seat also?

Toggle bolts seem to be the best option. Any certain size? Because im a bigger guy, 6'2 220lb and dont want it to break on me :D

How exactly would i attach the lag bolts? Would i put them through the plywood and the boat? or just the plywood?
