    Boat Wiring Help

Now how about the charging system. If I place a battery switch between the 3-sets of 6-volt batteries, to isolate the batteries (or banks) from the charging unit, can I use a 12v 3-bank charger to charge these batteries? If so, which 3-bank charger would you guys recommend? I've made a...

Wiring the boat to charge six 12v batteries.

Guys, it ended up that I didn't purchase this boat. Something about it just didn't feel right. I did buy a 14' Lowe dbl wide jon, semi-vee. I think part of the problem with the other boat I was considering buying was the square bow design. Anyhow, appreciate all the feedback I received on...

    Boat Wiring Help

Positioning a boat on the trailer

Thanks guys. No pictures yet...I'll work on it. No, there is no weight in the portion of the boat the extends over the trailer. No the bunks stop near the end of the trailer. The previous owner had 4-batteries positioned in front of the rear bench seat and 2-batteries positioned in front...

Positioning a boat on the trailer

Gents, I just bought a 14' dbl wide Lowe boat with a Venture Trailer. The boat appears to be hanging over the back of the trailer too much (36"). The boat is equipped with electric motors, one bow mount and the other is a transom mount and six each, 6-volt batteries. It is decked out with 5/8"...

Wiring the boat to charge six 12v batteries.

Yep, Troutman called it, the lake near my house (Maryland) is electric motor only. The weight is a concern and I may go with one battery per motor to see how they hold up. Thanks for the feedback.

Wiring the boat to charge six 12v batteries.

Thanks guys. I'll admit, that when the previous owner told me to use 2-batteries for each TM, that I thought it was a little excessive in the weight department! Maybe I'll start with 1-battery (ea) and see how that works out. Still need help with the wiring. Although through researching...

Wiring the boat to charge six 12v batteries.

New boat and I need some advice. As received, the boat doesn't have any permanent wiring. The previous owner lugged the batteries back to the garage to keep them charged. I'd like some advice/directions for wiring the boat, to include switch panels, fuses, etc. Also, how should/can I wire the...
