    Live well Questions

Got to thinking about this somemore... This could be a gravity feed system since you didn't mention there was already a pump installed. Is there a seperate plug in the live well to drain it by, or the "T" could be removed as the plug as I mentioned earlier in a gravity feed system. If it is a...

Well, now that I am getting some of my electrical parts in I realized my little wiring sketch was wrong, and way too simplified! I drew up the new schematic on my Auto-CAD program. I got one of my buddies that has a degree in DC Electrical Engineering to take a look at my schematic, and he said...

    hey yall, im a newbie!

Welcome aboard! I have to agree with everyone else, hold your money and save for something bigger. Keep your eyes out on craigslist and on the side of the road. If you see an old boat that doesnt look like it has seen water in some time, dont be afraid to go knock on a door. You may luck up and...

    Live well Questions

I believe that you are correct. The "T" looks to be an over flow, and the upper pipe looks to be your water pump in spicket. Is the "T" below or above the water line on the boat. If it is below the water line of the boat you will need to cut the pipe and extend it up above the water line...

Oh yeah - I know Morrison Mountain! One of my best freind's cousin actually owns the land. You may know him, Dustin Harrelson. (He used to drive the John Deer Green Jeep - had the John Deer logo on the tail gait and Super Swamper tread across the hood.) We used to ride out there all the time...

Well, progress has been halted temporarily for the week... We had a major storm come through earlier this week. News said that it was just straight line winds, but I say that it was tornado that didn't touch down. I watched one of my neighbors flag pole get yanked out of the ground, and down the...

    Sealing bolt holes in transom

x2....also, I used nylon washers which would expand slightly to seal and eliminate contact between ss bolt and aluminum to prevent corrosion (if the rubber "breaks" or ages it might separate and you will have a loose connection leak). Just my 2cents..... To be honest... I didn't think about...

    How to attach the decking???

If you do attach the deck in this method, how do you seal the wood back up where the screw is? I have heard of some people using 3M 4200 on the screw before driving it into the decking, but with the carpet already on there this seems like it would be a mess. The other concern I have with using...

    Sealing bolt holes in transom

I haven't seen it done yet, I'm not sure why either. I am going to us the 3M 5200 to fill the bolt hole first, and on the outside washer I am going to use a rubber washer. This will allow the rubber washer to expand and create an air tight bond as you tighten the bolt. I picked my rubber washers...

Well got some free time this weekend to get a little more done. First I recruited some help to clean out the boat: While I had some help I fugered I might as well get started on yanking out the transom: Cut the new transom, here is the test fit: Now it's glued and drying over night...

Thanks!! I thought about the glue, and I think I should have enough. The boats not getting a whole lot of carpet, just on top of the decking. If I see I am running short ill place another order. They were pretty quick about getting it here. The left over carpet I was planning on redoing my bunks...
