Glad you got it all straight but I am curious about the notary deal. Sounds kind of whack. What if you got the boat from another state say, VA, where you dont need notaries to have a title signed, would you still need to have the signature notarized by the seller?

I solder all my connections and shrink wrap them or use electrical liquid tape.
