Runs for about 5 mins then just starts beeping constantly. Turn off, let it set, runs a bit then beeps constantly. Any ideas==or do I just toss it and find another one...maybe Lowrance this time?

I put an inexpensive FF on the stearn of my 16' jon boat. When I run it, it makes a large rooster tail. Read a few post and was wondering if putting a couple of thickness of poly to mount the transducer on would possibly eliminate the rooster tail.

Live in Southeast Louisiana and notice that a lot of the crab fishermen, commercial guys use Tohatsu motors. I would think that they would only use them if they were fairly reliable and performed. However, I am a Johnson/Evinrude guy from way back, and my next motor will probably be in that line...

Something else to check...if the bearing/hub overheated at some time in the past, it is possible that the area that the BB fits into may have warped or gotten out of round. If that is the case, you will need to change the hum or you will lose your BB as you motor down the road....

Just my view, but I think you could find a really nice used rig with probably a little bigger motor for $3K.

Filled mine with that spray stuff I think it is called Great Stuff spray foam. Filled up the tube in the live well (I don't use it) and now I just use it for storage.

I have an Alweld 1652 with a Minn Kota Riptide 55# thrust on it. Works great and is 12 volt. I use primarily in salt water....very durable piece of equipment I think it has a 52" shaft and is hand steering.

Where do you purchase the storage compartments that people put in their conversions? Not looking for the big rod storage one, but those that may be about 18' X 12" or so....

I have bearing buddies on my trailer. Have been on the trailer for about 4 years. I fill up with 3 or so pumps of the grease gun after every trip. The bearing buddies seem to sling grease all over the front of the tire. Also there is grease in the back of the tire. Have the bearing buddies...
